Stair rod rain, hail, thunder and lightning right now. Woke me up on the sofa!

It has all gone quiet here, just raining now still a bit dark.

 

Probably saw lightening about 5 times heard about 8 rumbles and wind did pick up.

Bloody hell Thats one intense squall line, The wind gusts are very intense and the rain incredible. Getting very dark now.

I still reckon some pretty impressive rain is on the way for this area at least. Looks like electrical activity has died down but the wind is really picking up ahead of blackening skies to the NW.

The squall line has been very active over the last 2 hours, but is starting to weaken in southern areas

Heavy rain just arriving here and picking up sferics on mw radio. Very gusty winds

 

 

 

Edited: Strewth, that was 5 minutes of the most insane wind and rain I have ever seen, 3 vivid flashes of lightning as well.

That squall line looks interesting. Its getting very dark here now. Sunset was lovely though. Like something from a Turner painting. ..

just got dog home after a long walk (hour and half) was lovely when we left. now cloudy and wind really picked up. rain looks close. but still really mild

rain alarm going  nuts  london in line  for some very heavy rain very soon wont help the flooding around gatwick much

Flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder in Egham amongst driving rain. Can see the line of clear sky behind the squall approaching already though. Very impressive for these parts though.
