Camera`s on charge peeps just incase we get the light show!! Lucky sods in the mids got it decent,now we want some!

Wind seems to be the key concern now.. Lightning not an issue and of course very heavy rain..

It has all gone quiet here, just raining now still a bit dark.

 

Probably saw lightening about 5 times heard about 8 rumbles and wind did pick up.

Bloody hell Thats one intense squall line, The wind gusts are very intense and the rain incredible. Getting very dark now.

I still reckon some pretty impressive rain is on the way for this area at least. Looks like electrical activity has died down but the wind is really picking up ahead of blackening skies to the NW.

The squall line has been very active over the last 2 hours, but is starting to weaken in southern areas

Heavy rain just arriving here and picking up sferics on mw radio. Very gusty winds

 

 

 

Edited: Strewth, that was 5 minutes of the most insane wind and rain I have ever seen, 3 vivid flashes of lightning as well.

That squall line looks interesting. Its getting very dark here now. Sunset was lovely though. Like something from a Turner painting. ..

Regarding the severe squall line, reports coming in of damage across the country. Main storm has not even arrived yet!

Flash of lightning and a rumble of thunder in Egham amongst driving rain. Can see the line of clear sky behind the squall approaching already though. Very impressive for these parts though.

Ooh rain's starting here - seems to have a extra line of rain along the Thames Estuary just reaching here now. I want some thunder and lightning please!
