sorry i dont get it Posted Image  Everybody (besides the mildies) are going for the cold and saying its going to win with every new chart that pops up.. yet the professionals ie; the met office is going for cold snap then a return to milder weather.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/25882915

So do i go with the over rampers of the coldies or should i stick to the pro's??  think il stick with the pro's on this one and wait for the moaning thread to go ballistic!!  something tells me they know something the coldies dontPosted Image

Evening John - whenever you get to read this, what is your take on the apparent disparity of the 12z ECM?

I think the block will be underestimated, the rain earlier today just fell apart before getting here. Interesting stuff.

JP thanks for your advice, priceless when the MOD thread drives me mental!

hi ben

the fax later could be quite interesting

hi chris

personally i think the op runs from ecm and gfs have all been picking the warmer options

will find out later on that

if you run in the reliable using ukmo which i find the most reliable when used with the fax charts

it will save pulling your hair out

again this is pure cannot work out blocking with the models

the 144 ukmo is very impressive tonight

anyway off to watch footie

be back later

john

It may have been delayed a bit Ben, but it certainly hasn't fallen apart. Heavy rain here in the London area and heading eastwards.

Don't know why this made me laugh.

I've always been impressed by Greggs.  It takes rare culinary genius to create food with absolutely no flavour whatsoever.  I doff my floppy Chef's hat to them

Probably an anaprop - in other words, seeing something that isn't there.

And from what I saw a couple of years ago, anaprop is common when there's a block about.

I was watching some showers on an easterly and they stayed in the same place for 6 hours I thought we were going to get buried --  didn't even get a single flake

Good food to buy if you have a head cold.  You may have lost all sense of taste but it doesn't matter!

Is it the sort of snow/cold that means I should get hubby to chop some extra logs for the fire? or the sort that I'll think, oh is that it?
