Getting worse again here... Whats going on

Just picked up for me as well, probably associated with that weakening squall line.

First squall line going through Southern areas of our region now, tracking NE with the next one lining up behind.

Couldn't it be lightning? Some thundery activity was forecast.

No sferics showing up. More than likely power cables hitting together and arching.

I'm a weather "fan", but this is a bit scary. Being a home owner and Dad to two, safety and money are huge worries.

Never seen such an intense storm for such prolonged hours... 12+?? Most storms are in and out in 6! 87 although worse, only lasted a few hours.

Unless im looking at the raintoday.co.uk radar totally wrong, don't us guys in the south east have some pretty stormy weather to still come?

So that would be storm number 3 on Friday and 4 on Monday potentially or is Fridays storm running all the way into Monday?

Will the winds drop between the two squals or after the second one. Not including the increase during the sqaul.

This first one, the second one is an occluded front I believe.

Wow! thanks for clarification. Now looking at around 8 hours of wind and rain, at times very severe in beds / cambs border - wondering how much more there is to come as I need to get to bed soon - got a run tomorrow and drive up to South Yorkshire and back at 9am.

This thing also appears to trail back all the way to the Gulf of Mexico - amazing

If the wind and rain isn't enough to keep me awake the foxes start Posted Image

To be fair, if you were stuck outside in this, I think you'd be shouting and screaming! :p I know I would be.
