It died to death as it hit land. I think it will gonna hail/torrential rain. But no thunder.

Agree with PIP, it's quite typical for it to turn into heavy rain and gusty winds. Weather station top gust so far is 30.4mph at 17:25 and I feel that's the best we will get until later tomorrow.

I've moved the station higher for Christmas Eve, can't wait to see my max gust then! Posted Image

We had a very heavy shower this morning and 1 flash of lightning which was very close, i was woken up by heavy hailstones then as i had my eyes shut, my whole vision went from black to blue, and it was light outside! 3 seconds later a VERY loud rumble, must have been very close. Then about 1 1/2 hours ago had some more torrential rain and 5 flashes of lightning, yes FIVE! bloody miracle if you ask me lol, looks like LiamJ copped the best of it though.

Agreed, even the wind at the moment is bad enough and the storm forecast for Monday looks a monster. At least with that one though, they'll be no winners and losers, if it doesn't downgrade we'll all end up as losers.Apart from the roofers and tilers of course.

It'll start clearing through shortly and be back to starry skies.Probably still be damn windy though.

o oh wheelie bin is dancing about

Maybe that could be a new formula for a Saturday night vote of show coz the current ones have certainly run their course.

Yes they have Borefest springs to mind.Even dancing on ice are struggling for new contestants they are bringing back all the old ones who can already skate honestly the mind boggles.

No for some reason the missus is watching last weeks X Factor final instead. It seems that the Scottish lad doesn't know the girl from Darn Sarf has won.Obviously doesn't read the Sunday papers.I've noticed that she also has something recording on Sky + though so no guesses on what that is.
