Don't think it will be bad at all Gary. I will be heading the Coleraine direction later today and not expecting anything although there is a bit of sleet falling at the minute.

Maybe this evening it could be a little icey but they normally keep the road well cleared and if it does get covered over they close the road for a short time while its cleared.

A nice morning here, blue skies, cool and calm, a change from recent days.

had a heavy sleety shower here earlier .. now bright and sunny (again). Extraordinary how little effect all this weather has had locally. Looks very lively for coastal areas again on Monday ....

Models looking better tonight for snow! Funny how many times we see the model forum go into meltdown with a good run. ECM 168 would be good for us in the north!

Great charts this morning even for ireland. Particularly on the east of Ireland and Northern Ireland with great snow potential here! Time will tell but def looking good at the mo!

Easterlies always promise so much at this 5-7 day timeframe…. I'm adopting a 'wait a few days before I believe' approach!

Finally something decent to talk about snow wise.

Chances for snow for the island, initially for Sunday into Monday as rain from the Atlantic gets undercut by the cold continental air coming in, low risk at present, but worth keeping an eye on.

Into next week and a general east to south east wind perhaps improving snow prospects for Eastern areas in the Island.

Indeed same here, think i will wait till the week end to see what the output looks like then before i get excited, especially since easterlies often dont deliver to ireland although there are exceptions of course-jan 87,feb 91 etc.

I would love to see some cold and even better some snow, but from what I've seen the cold air doesn't want to make it this far. Better chance the further East you are I guess?

East coast of ireland has a great chance for snow! If models stay the same. Obviously the further west u go this reduces significantly at present. But things can and will change. For the better or worse? Who knows

Without a Greenland high it's definitely very difficult to get snow for the whole of Ireland. Mountain shadow you're probably in the best spot, east coast with elevation!

Normally very good for us in the east if the Irish Sea helps us out a little. Though I agree with Ronan. Very poor indeed for the NW
