Just post any chart, then mention something like it showing energy splitting or similar. People would then think you're an expert. Posted Image

Brrr, feels cold outside at 4C, it's the wind that is making it feel chillier. At least the sun is out :)

Hi Robin, GFS 0.5 6z showing a bit more interest in snow for Thursday morning, don't really trust these charts though!Posted Image

Morning Ian,

I think I'm going to resort to staring into the sky and seeing what I feel on my face. Mind you, all the indications are currently that anything that may be coming would be in the very early hours and I don't fancy camping out in my sleeping bag to check out the chances of snow!

Brown Sauce on mine please Jo!

I like this time of year because instead of me awaiting what weather I might get from Jo, She has to wait for me to send the weather to her.

Which must mean its nearly silly season and winter is close Posted Image

Can someone explain what 'zonality' weather means? Is it something clever?

Have a look on here..

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/56318-guide-to-uk-winter-setups/

For us, Zonal is West to east weather, so soggy, Mildish Atlantic type stuff.

If you're seeing 'a return to Zonality' Mentioned, I think that's to describe the weather returning to how it's been the last few weeks, wet windy etc....

(If I'm wrong here anyone, please correct me!)

Morning all. Was up and out early this morning for a dentist appt evil people they are. Certainly felt a bit chilly compared to previous days. I see the crying and 'I told you so' has started in the MAD thread this morning. Why do they do it to themselves?! It's the weather it will do what it wants when it wants as we all know Mother Nature just by her name is female so this probably explains alot.

Certainly going to be chilly overnight looking at lates Met O think I may be glad of having two big dogs to keep me warm tonight.

The one thing I really want to know is did some guy on a  Northern Irish beach get his snow last night?!

Popping this in here again for any members who havnt yet entered the Snow Depth Cup,  this Friday 10 pm being the cut-off point, although I'm sure we can be a bit flexible, as no snow is imminent.

"Just a quick thanks to members that have sent me pms and posts entering the Snow Depth Cup competition this year.

If any of you havnt entered yet and would like to, just drop a post in here or pm me. Anybody that hasnt entered yet will need to get their entry in by 10.00 p.m Friday 21st November, to give Chris time to enter all participating members on to spreadsheets.

The North Thames region below.

The member that records the most accumulated snow-depths, in each of groups 1 and 2 , by a date, tba, will then proceed to the knockout phase, probably in February but we can be flexible re. that, depending on how much snow there has been.

No doubt there could be a few members with the same accumulated depth but Chris and I have spoken about a tie breaker scenario, which will announce at a later date."

Hello Tom. May I be included please?

I guess I am situated between John Mac and Exodus.

I'm in North Chingford E4, close to the back gates of Chingford Cemetery which is atop 'The Mount' which gets hammered by winds from Sowf Lundun, innit!

Thanks.
