Away from urban catchments, it looks like inland areas of the South could catch a frost tonight;

post-12721-0-77579900-1384260883_thumb.j

Could set us up for a nice crisp start to tomorrow morning.

Afternoon! I had another 1mm of rain over night so i thought i'd check out the highs/lows for each day on my vantage vue, if it was running on a PC, i could have gotten information further back but as it is, i can only go back to the 18th October, only one day between then and today have i not recorded rainfall, 25 out of the last 26 days have seen rain .. Currently 14C and post-15177-0-61534900-1371394602.gif

About bloody time, although in the Autumn of 2009 I went without one (For Mulls, I'm speaking about Air Frosts, you know Posted Image ).

Lovely scenes as I was working in Bath from just after 07.00 this morning. I was able to watch the Cold Front clearing and the sun slowly rising, as the sun rose mist formed over the hills and this lasted around an hour before burning off leaving a sunny morning with Cirrus and Altocumulus.

12.2c at home this lunch time.

It does seem high so i took my Kestrel handheld doofer outside and it was showing 13.7C - Cloud has come over now, so the temp has dropped back to 13C :lol:

That chart looks promising. Hopefully, there will be a frost. There hasn't been a frost so far this autumn, here.

Much excitement going on in the MOD thread tonight ( & more than a little agitation - more angst than on Eastenders). So does anyone think we may have a chance of any white stuff down here in the South next week?

You've got more chance than me. You're 6 miles further north. :)

Very little chance at this moment in time but watch this space!

Agh but you are higher. I used to live in Redlynch and that had more snow than Salisbury but that is higher again than Downton - fingers crossed for us all!

Redlynch is higher. I'm in Charlton AS, so right in the valley. But yep, fingers crossed.

Still saw a load of wasps fying around one of our ash trees today were there was a massive nest in the Summer.

Unbelieveable that they are still around at nearly the middle of November!Posted Image

Got down to 1.3C, nice frost and I will be needing my scraper for the first time this year. Looks like it got down to -2 at Bournemouth Airport, but it is very prone to harder frosts.
