I'm still here JP (I saw you popped over to my profile). I appreciate your posts as always. Time for a good proper RAMP sometime next week I reckon, I can feel it in my water. Posted Image Shocking stuff on the other side of the world and the dedicated thread is well worth following.

Hi Jp, great posts tonight, this is definitely the best ramp so far, ramps are good in my book, no specifics needed but can signal a pattern change ahead, looking forward to winter.

Thanks Ian

My god that storm looks terrible. Hope everyone can get out of harms way, and no fatalities are reported.Back to our little corner and densely populated area, the weather has been okay. To sum it up, I will say bright... That's it really. It feels a lot cooler than it did last night.Anyone got an heads-up on the weather in Norwich this weekend. I'm going there to watch the mighty Hammers play... Thanks

You're going all that way for another 0-0 draw?????  Still, we may have Carroll back by Easter!

Anyway, back to the weather and thoroughly enjoying John's ramps tonight.  First few fleeting glances of some potential showing for later this month............if cold weather is your thing!

hi bjaykent

all for a giggle

but as they are showing these it is showing possible options for when the jet weakens or drops south

solar is still a tad high but looks like it will weaken very soon

hopefully anyway Posted Image

According to the JTWC, this monster storm looks like it could still be at Super Typhoon (Cat 5.) status as it crosses the Philippines Thursday night into Friday.

Posted Imageimage.jpg

Amazing and shocking image - I feel like I've been in space myself having watched Gravity in 3D sitting in a D-Box seat earlier !

Yes, this is an incredibly concerning storm.  I've just seen the latest JTWC update puts the current winds as;

PRESENT WIND DISTRIBUTION:

MAX SUSTAINED WINDS - 170 KT, GUSTS 205 KT

So that's sustained winds of 195 mph gusting to 235 mph.  Unbelievable, hope they get everyone out of the way!

That storm looks scary. We are so lucky to not experience anything so extreme.

I was really hoping to join the meetup this time, but it's Doctor Who weekend and I've already saved the date. :D

7.7c here and a clear night. If it wasn't night time I'm sure the sun would be shining. :D

Woah thought it was night time temps till I clicked. I doubt that will verify even though it's only 3 days away.

hi alexis

i think the pub run has had too much sherry tonight Posted Image

Think there must be ice in that sherry, that's crazy just how wrong that is, looks like all the temps are missing a '1' off the front to mePosted Image

Always seems to work out that way, warm sectors seem to like our little corner.
