Spiders a go go here too, buggers are everywhere!  Walked through a web as I went to the front door this afternoon *yeuck*

Finally (after much ado about something) fitted the replacement headlamp bulb on the car (or Ka), no room to move so it is a pesky job...

...might blind a few squirrels in the trees in the morning if it is not pointing right Posted Image

Good evening everyone. The fog and low cloud was rather reluctant to clear from here but the sun finally triumphed around 2pm. I was suprised to see the days maximum temperature was reached at 6pm this evening....21.8c.

The fog delayed the first commercial flight of British Airways' new Airbus A380 from Heathrow to Los Angeles. I believe the aircraft was stuck up in Newcastle waiting for the fog at Heathrow to clear. It eventually set off from Heathrow to LA about an hour later than scheduled this afternoon. I bet that was an impressive sight, and a reminder to me of how much I miss my job at the airport Posted Image

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the last of the summer sun as best you can Posted Image

Evening guys. Today has been the perfect autumn day in my eyes, I could not of written it any better. Thick fog early this morning to late morning, followed by glorious sun and blue skies. Getting misty here now, loving the spokiness it creates on these darker evenings. 👹 hope it's like this for Oct 31st 💀

Evening all

It turns out to have peaked at 23.7c in Reigate today with 7 hours of sunshine.  Shame I wasn't here for it.  It's still nearly 17c at just about 8pm, which is not bad at all for late September.

Am at home tomorrow so will have a proper sense of humour failure if it remains cloudy all day.

Weather like today, which would be pleasant in high summer, feels like a rare and special privilege out of season particularly after so many days of grey gloom. It's a summer love taking a last look back over their shoulder and letting us see their face again as they slowly walk away.

Know what you mean mate. I like that feeling when it's snowing, especially during the darks hours. Everything is so quite, and lightened up by the glowing snow in the moons rays.. Not long to go now hopefully ðŸ™

I do the same for mum & dad, even though they are more than capabile of doing it themselves. I think it's called a thanks for everything you do for us kids (yeah I'm 34😄) the moaning just is part of it... We don't mean it...... 😉

Hi John, love the way you just throw a meteor sighting into your forecasts.  It's like me saying I nipped out to water the new grass seed tonight and was run over by a wildebeest.  Except yours is better.  And true! Please keep the forecasts going.

Words of wisdom once again JP, thanks!  This forum has been so good over the summer with the hard core keeping going but I'm also looking forward to the Autumn storms followed by the winter drama.  I suspect your analysis will be poured over even more then ever, so I just want to say 'good luck, we're all counting on you' (for the fans of Airplane)

Two people have called me Shirley tonight. I will forgive you both if you accept this flower on behalf of the Church of Religious Consciousness (and agree not to park in the red zone)
