I can see lightning just out to sea from here and can just about hear it, it did rain for 5 minutes but now stopped.

looks like on radar I could get hit.

Peacehaven, 6 miles east of brighton

Impressive lightning to SW from my location in Sawbridgeworth as storm approached 00.30 to 00.45 then rained and silent. Must have passed over

Much Lightning Nick? Casting my eyes out that way from greenhithe- didn't see much flashes- although its a good 10-15 miles  S

I'm in Lewisham at work, it was really intense precipitation for about ten minutes and the wind really got up, there were some nice lightning strikes white in colour

Looks like round 2 is just forming near Brighton. This makes up for all the years without storms

Steve is that a second wave forming near Brighton the first is still a constant strobe light to my east

Woken by a real downpour with thunder/lightning every 20-40 seconds at one point, a few strong-ish wind gusts too as the heaviest rain was easing. 8 or 9 storms since the school holidays have begun! Keep them coming please :)
