Thursday 13th was quite impressive here at Sandhutton, from -1.0C overnight to 15.6C during the afternoon, and the range will probably have been higher at nearby Topcliffe which is a notorious frost hollow.

 

However I remember getting diurnal ranges of around 17C at Cleadon near the Tyne and Wear coast during the fine spell in late March 2012, which was even more impressive given the location.
