That doesn't sound great for us in Bexhill I was hoping to be dump on :-)

It really struggled once it got to our way Sara. The Radar (Net Weathers finest and a bargain!) does show its pretty much gone for us down our way. Maybe something will 'pop up' but i cant see it. But we still have the chance for more saturday night into Sunday, everything crossed! :)

Seems the intensity has died down but the flakes are larger, been pretty heavy for a good 90mins or so, looking at the radar it could go on like this for several more hours too.

Sunday is complicated, no certainty the lot won't end up further east than expected, like you see with summer MCS complexes. We will see!

Band will weaken though light snow likely to continue throughout the next 6hrs at least with maybe the odd moderate bursts somewhere along the frontal zone.

I'll wave to it as it drifts up the north sea!

Unless this front is due to just sit over the SE all night, I can't see where the afternoon/eve/overnight snow is coming from?

In fact here in SE Essex I cant see where the snow is coming from at all.

I will give it another hour or 2 then I will be considering throwing the towel in as well, like a lot of other SE Essex/E Kent people.

I'm not going to hold my breath for much, so i've gone to Asda for a cheeky bottle of red. Went for red as I've got the hump with anything white!!!!

You'll get it soon, your currently in the gap where the Thames is but it'll cut across that soon enough and your be seeing snow.

What is interesting as well is to see what current temps are doing, widely around -2/3C at the moment, pretty uncommon to get temps going down under frontal snow, normally it'll hold steady.

Ah the joys of dragging in a SE airmass!

Snow?....

Where?

Still coming down in Central London from moderate to heavy at times.

Got a nice covering but not sure how much I got. I think its harder to get a covering Central London, what with all the people walking on it and the heat from the buildings. sad.png

Still its set to continue in the evening and possibly night so I'M AS HAPPY AS CAN BE! biggrin.png

Just been out with the kids throwing snowballs and did the obligatory snow angel....and STILL it comes down here in Brighton still heavy too.

That's heavy snow now since 9:00 am with no let up...although the flake size has reduced somewhat and gone back to grain sized with a few decent sized flakes thrown in.

Can no longer see the grass....I'm guessing it's about 3 inches here, hard to tell because in places it's more and other places it's less due to the drifting the dew point has been creeping ever so slowly close to zero...currently at -0.5 , temperature -0.1
