Looking further ahead. I am wetting myself and I expect Paul S and the rest of the Thames contingent are, at this wind direction on Sat afternoon, for a good 24 hours...

Has got a tad lighter now, very fine snow, the pavements are covered, not too deep, its blowing around in the gusts. The road out my window still looks pretty clear so I assume the mainroads are ok at present too. Hopefully it will get a bit heavier and start settling a bit more?

Just had a little episode of freezing rain here for only 1 minute but defo rain and freezing on contact with car windscreen. Very strange nothing falling now must have been a little bit of convection ahead of the band.
