Hey all, just logged on and going to catch up on the previous pages. Any changes on Fridays potential snowfall? Thanks!

Currently 1.8C, but temperatures rose to 5.1C earlier!

Go back two pages at max and continue reading. good.gif

Hmm I do wonder though however... couple of days ago this atlantic system was projected to not even make it past cornwall but as we near the reliable it seems to be creeping ever further east... unsure.png

So, a yellow warning for snow for most of the SW, and the MetO site saying light snow for Southampton all day Friday. That will do me for now. good.gif

Its at times like this i want to pick my house up and move north east!

I'm stumped

Are you clairvoyant by any chance.

BTW it is not only you, I hasten to add.

This run doesn't yet tell you the prospects at T+72 over your house you know. tease.gif

How cold tonight then?

It's dropped from 2.9c to 1.4c in under an hour and with flat calm conditions plus completely clear sky I wonder if it might

get down to -4c or -5c here and that's without snow cover.

Meto continues the theme with -7 850's over me in N.Dorset at T72 with the precip moved in.

FULL agreement from the models so far that the low will slide under the high, that cold air will stay or never be far away from the sw and, GFS upto 24-36 hrs of snow for some, There been no back track in the models. NAE at 48 needs to be taken very carefully as between T48 and when the front comes in the cold air should dig back in again.

Cornwall looks unlucky if i am honest.

Devon boarderline.

Somerset/Dorset, wilts, glos, could see the 24-36 hrs of snow and i personally dont think it will melt until sunday at the earliest.

Hmmm, in case you haven't noticed we have had weeks of devastating floods, so no, we don't like rain.

Anyway, to keep it friendly I am 369m ASL so im not counting IMBY out yet!!

That can be a concern, yep, usually if fronts make it far enough into the uk to effect most of the country then we down here end up in the mild air and rain but I really don't know what's going to happen this time.
