Temp up to 1.7C here but dew points -3.5C so very icy after a slight thaw.

Caught a couple of decent showers earlier too that topped up what had thawed!

I notice some decent looking showers on't radar that would hit here soon if they keep on the same track.

Did you not get any in December 2010? That month had 7 ice days here.

Ironically we havent even dropped below freezing here yet this month, the minimum temperature so far was 0.2C today (max was 1.3C). The last air frost was on 14th December, which feels quite a long time ago now.

If Friday/Saturday is good it is very unlikely that it will affect east Yorkshire with South/West/North West Yorkshire bearing the brunt. But even the brunt is likely to be nothing more than patchy sporadic light snow.

WOW very cold already in places, -6.2c Duggleby (Wolds) and -7c Chopgate (Moors)

Down to -8c now at Duggleby
