Hmm, guess we might have to make the most of the next few days. Hope things change though, people like shedhead in the Model thread seem to be insistent on the low pressure taking over at the weekend, so I dont hold much hope.

Lovely day here, only 18 deg C at the moment but that will do me while I catch up with some jobs after being away for the weekend but I fully intend to sit in the garden all afternoon !

WAKE UP! The little beggars don't even sleep. smile.png They're always squawking in Ipswich 24/7. I hope you have a fabulous time at the Pirate do. Post lots of photos for us and we'd like to see you dressed up. biggrin.png

Mmmmm, there are some general Pirate Day and Red Arrows ones in the gallery, but here is a couple of me....

I didn't feel so silly when there were 14,230 other people all dressed up too !

http://1066towncentr...s-world-record/

I'm not sure there are enough people in Cornwall to ever beat this new Guinness world record, anyway they are just smugglers in Penzance... the real Pirates are on the south coast !

It was an amazing atmosphere and great fun to take part in and now I can say I'm a 'Record Breaker'

All very quiet here. I guess it must be the nice weather.

The question is, do I go for an outdoor pint or two at my local, or on the waterfront at Wivenhoe, after work this week?drinks.gif Can't let these hot spells pass with no benefit. After all, sitting in a hot non a/c office and trying to sleep at night when it's warm and muggy are definitely no benefit.dry.png Think I've answered my own question!biggrin.png

Am I the only miserable grump that finds this weather too hot? Kids are grumpy, everyone short tempered and now takes 2hours to get 3miles because of the Olympic traffic and stupid tourists who stand in exits to read maps!

Lol I am old and grumpy, it is lovely to see the sun and be able to go out if I want rather than if it stops raining. It's one extreme to the other 28c possibly wed? And then my met office app showing 18c on Sunday!

Think ice cold cider tonight and a BBQ will make me feel better! Would have a drink now but kids are here! Anyone for babysitting?!

Have fun all! :) :)

I'd rather prefer 28C to 18C - shame that this wonderful weather is expected to breakdown on Friday then back to rubbish (possibly right through to the end of August).

Enjoy folks, enjoy! Just got back from a two hour lunchbreak, boss not too happy but do I care?

Thanks blush.png

Only a bit of sunburn in a couple of places, I did use high factor sun protection and luckily wore my top back to front so it wasn't as low cut or it could have been worse!

The Guinness World Record Certificate will belong to the town like the previous one...

...I suppose it would have been a bit much for them to provide another 14,230 copies for us all to have had one each cool.png

Yes

and

No

Just found the perfect way to keep cool - I've just washed two smelly dogs out in the back garden - they obviously had far to much fun in the paddock at the kennels this weekend, thankfully there is no hose pipe ban now angel.gif

Have to admit, I am loving the sunshine. However, (and I hate to moan after the weather we have had since April) but.....

It is a little bit too hot for me to enjoy and I wish the weather wouldn't go from one extreem to the other. Clear blue skies, 23c, a light cool breeze is my idea of perfect summer weather.

And you just know any prospect of a storm/storms as a reward for putting up with this heat and humidity won't materialize or will break out over Newcastle or something rolleyes.gif

Sorry to sound like a moaning minnie but I am too hot at my desk at work and am feeling a little grumpy!
