Despite the low CAPE & LI today, there are some strikes been shown on the radar. ESTOFEX were bang on, again.

Shower-wise, yes. I don't think they will become thundery though, they seem to be doing that as they move inland.

Did you get anything the other day? I had nothing here, was gutted.

The next couple of hours are looking interesting, with CAPE approaching 1,000, with an LI of -3, could see a few moderate thundery showers. I hope so anyway, missed out the other day.

Well nothing new there then, they always become electrical as they head inland, it's just not fair.

I had 3 rumbles from a little thundery shower the other day although they were over 3 miles away and it lost its electrical activity before it came overhead. I suppose that's better than nothing though. I really feel sorry for people like you and Crew Cold who got nothing at all.

Quite a nice day here in Plymouth 17.5 Degrees, 75% humidity, sunnybut windy. Most of the showers are developing to my north over the high ground of Dartmoor.

Looking at the chart, Newcastle may well be in for another storm, looks like the best one I can see on there. Probz nowhere near as bad as 2 days ago, but still ! Toon looks like the place to be this summer so far !

Always amazes me how the coast of cumbria is so much cooler than the coast of Lancashire or mersyside.

I can see signs of a convergence line happening to the east of Cheltenham heading towards Northamptonshire. Lets hope it keeps building by the time it reaches Cambs/Lincs.

Walney island is at 17.4°C but Crosby is only at 17.0°C so that's not strictly true.

A very heavy rainstorm in Sandhutton just five minutes ago, and I note that a few sferics are appearing in the showers to the SW, so a chance of some thundery activity later on perhaps? Those echoes approaching Tyne and Wear/Durham are also looking impressive.

Looking interesting for you TWS,right in the firing line in your new location.

Lots of activity up on the Yorkshire area by the looks on the radar and lightning detector. Any chance of it moving further south?

Yes that is strange, perhaps St.bees has a micro climate.
