Currently, there are only five lava lakes in the world: Erta Ale in Ethiopia, Nyiragongo in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kilauea in Haiwaii, Mount Erebus in Antarctica and Villarrica in Chile. A closer look at these natural wonders.

Climbed Volcan Villarrica back in 2009, didn't see any lava, just got choked to death by sulphuric gases! Amazing part of the world, from the top you could still see the devastation caused by pyroclastic flows back in the 70s.
