Mostly cloudy with the odd brighter interval, low of 8.7C and now 10.2C with a light rather vaiable wind between NW and SW most of the time

A dry night with broken cloud during the evening and increasing amounts of high and medium level cloud from the early hours onward. A couple of very brief sunny intervals through the As and Ac so far this morning.

Some clear spells overnight, temperatures kept well up as a force 3 easterly wind kicked in. Turning cloudy towards dawn. The morning to observation has been cloudy and dry.

Today's readings for the 24 hrs up to 09:00 GMT:

Maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday: 14.4°C

Minimum temperature overnight: 6.6°C

24-hour maximum = 14.4°C

24-hour minimum: 6.6°C

Minimum temperature on grass: 5.1°C

Maximum wind gust: MPH (Midnight to Midnight) 11.1 SE

Rainfall total: 16.1 mm

Current Conditions:

8 Oktas: Altocumulus, Cumulus mediocris.

Visibility: about 10 miles.

Yesterday:

After around 26 hours of continuous light to moderate rain, it petered out around 00:30 GMT.. The total for that period, 29.1mm. the 24 hour up to 09:00 GMT total was 16.1mm.

The maximum temperature to 18:00 GMT yesterday was just 10.6c, though the 24 hour maximum to 09:00GMT was 11.0c, even so this made it the coldest June day since 1997. (10.2c)

The day dawned bright and partly cloudy, wet underfoot. The morning to observation has been bright with sunny spells. There were further sunny spells throughout the day, but also large amounts of cloud at time, enough to produce the odd moderate spot of rain. Cool for June, top temperature 14.4c.

Started raining at around 10:30am, some heavy pulses, and some heavy drizzle too. Currently 13mm, temp at 12.5°C

Dry dull start, rain from midday onwards (earlier than forecast, I think), progressively becoming heavier. Current conditions: heavy rain, 11.4 deg C, wind moderate S. Today's maximum 14.1, last night's minimum 7.8.

Lucky you; the radar shows a mass of rain being deflected from my locale as effectively as the Earth's magnetic field deflects the solar wind. It's ridiculous.

Horrible day. Cloudy, very cool, windy and drizzly. Max temp only 11.1C with 1.1hrs sun and 0.4mm rain sleep.png

Glad I didn't have today off but got an extra day of annual leave instead. Public Holidays are a waste of time in this country.

Cloudy/ dull and damp today.

Spells of light rain and drizzle 0330-0700. Mostly dry this morning, then further intermittent drizzle with some rain pm. Moderate to fresh S/ SE wind. Cool.
