Another almost cloudless day with unbroken sunshine. The maximum temperature record for March, previously 17.5c, was well and truly broken with a max' today of 18.2c; this makes it the warmest March day locally since 1965.

Another beautiful day - wall to wall blue skies and sunshine and temps once again up to 19 degrees. Conditions are as ideal as they can be for fell walking - not too warm that you burn and with superb clarity in the air, the views are fantastic. The current spell is very similiar to what we saw last easter just a bit cooler but just as good, indeed in a way this March has been very similiar to last April which was very sunny very warm and very dry. Our summers are getting earlier! Next year it will be feb that does the goods...
