Woodford Met Office Station?

On the meto web site it showed up as the warmest (8.2c) and sunniest (0.2hrs - wow!) location in NW England for 24hrs to 2100 on 26/11.

Woodford was a SYNOP station so you'd expect it to be replaced with one but it hasn't shown up in the reports so far so maybe it's not. The code is supposedly 03351 but it doesn't show on weathercast yet or the datagovuk met office site either.

Thanks for that. Just to clarify is a SYNOP station one that the public can see on the MetO website ie Altnaharra as opposed to one they can't see ie Braemar?

All the ones on the MetO website are SYNOP stations, but they are not all of the SYNOP stations - there are about 112 on the Met site compared to 148 on Ogimet today for example.

SYNOP refers to the type of report not to it being open for the public?
