And it looks like the GFS is wrong with back edge snow, not supported by the NAE/NMM.

Saturday has the potential for some snowfall over western parts of the region, nothing to get excited about unless we see something heavy and thats even if it makes it over the pennines.

Anyway highlighted by the two troughs

Even though I prefer snow, I'm kinda wondering how high the temperatures could go next week? 15c, 16c perhaps?

Possibly in the very far south, but in our area looking at the charts it will be a dull, cloudy but mild affair.

In a mild tropical maritime flow it tends to be that way unless the high pressure ridges far enough northward or the flow has enough of a southerly component (the former is still possible). You generally end up with dry, sunny and very mild weather in the south, dull, cloudy but dry weather from the Midlands northwards and cloudy, wet weather in the north-west. It'll feel mild enough in our area mind you with temperatures in the 11-13C range.

Its still a few days out though, so there will be changes.

Proper heavy snow here 5-10 mins ago, big flakes really gusty almost blizzard like!

Started of as snow here too. Didn't last very long, about 10 minutes and mid way you could see the sky so it was on its last leg.

Still nice to see.

Watching a very heavy clump out over the Irish Sea, would give somewhere in the west or south Yorkshire a covering.

Shame it'll probably be cloudy though. But hey, being on the lee-side of the mountains, we might get lucky.
