It's trying so very hard to snow.. but the precipitation appears to be moving away very quickly now so I'm fairy confident for us in W Yorkshire it's a non-event.. and I really hate saying that as I'm usually an eternal optimist!

Still snowing moderate to heavy here in Pocklington - a decent covering on cars and in places where snow had disappeared off the roads. Adding to the fair amount that was already left over from the weekend though!

I haven't seen the forecast or looked at charts today but is this meant to be heading southwest towards the Midlands? I presume there's going to be some SW movement at some point then?

The energy seems to be running West of here, across western parts of East Yorkshire through to sprunehorpe/south bank. I think this will change soon, with heavier pulses North of me and Reef, and the N Sea is full of it, it's due to start pushing SW soon from the North Sea/Pivot so could get some very heavy snowfall around 6-7pm here. Fingers X.

Snowing here still with nice flakes, would not call it moderate, but certainly wouldn't call it light.

Temperature of 0.5c and dew point of -1c

Any idea how long this will last? Its all moving quite quick on the radar, and looks nothing like the bbc forecast, which may be good
