Well, do we?

It kind of begs the question, what is 'time' anyway. We used to manage fine with sundials and 'local' time before the railways, now we have a plethora of clock messing, different time zones, leap years, leap seconds and the complete idiocy of so called summer time.

Surely Co-ordinated Universal Time can cope with anything electronic, astronomical or GPS related and the rest of us can set our clocks and watches to whatever we please to suit our individual needs.
