That's not especially fair Kaz, no-one is being scammed at all. The extra radar is way more fully featured (weather type, lightning overlay, nmm overlays, live weather overlays, archives, scale types, european view etc etc) and updates 3 times more often than the free one - if you don't want those additional features then feel free to get in touch and we'll refund you, but please don't start throwing accusations about.

Yes, I purchased the radar, but the paid version is far better.

A fantastic addition to the site, will be helpful when I'm out of cash, free version is great. It's far more advanced than Rain Today.

Thank you guys.

Merry Christmas to Paul and the team. :smiliz19:

Echo whats been said, a great addition to the site, BBC has become embarrasing in comparison. Well done Paul and the team!

Well done Paul & team, I'll have to make sure I don't tell anybody of this revelation, they wont come and ask me "What weather is coming, can I go out at lunch without getting wet?"

Oh no I feel cast aside like an old webpage :cray:

I'm still quite keen on the North Korea idea actually.

the forum had a private vote, 2 absentions, everyone else agreed to just that

so

why are we waiting?

not sure who the other one was, I was the 2nd abstainer-you are just too soft for that job.

Thanks Paul! i hope to get the whole package at sometime in the future, all that data would be amazing to me! especially since ive learnt so much more about the models and how to use them.

Its similar but I prefer the NW one as the colours of the intensity on any PPN is much clearer than raintoday which uses different shades or brown and orange and is not the most clearest you will ever see.

Must say, it will come in handy if we get any snow events!

Exactly! you can't beat the coloured radars! looking at the NetW radar it looks great and showing the locations on the map is great to!

We've added the first of a number of additional NMM overlays to the V6 radar today, temperature, air pressure and wind gusts are now available (wind gusts will update to an improved image after the next NMM run). We'll add some more over the next few days - cape, wind vectors through various levels, freezing levels and others.

For those without a subscription - the free radar is here:

Kaz trust me... The subscription radar is better than the free one. You get lightning detection overlay, air pressure, 850's, better zoom etc etc.

I bought a year long radar subscription a few months back and it was worth it because it does have much more features than the free one. I think the free one is great but i'll be sticking to my subscription radar as it is the best radar you can possibly get.

I'm quite liking the new v6 RADAR and already had it up for 5 minutes, poking around with the settings it seems there's no problems with it at all on my specs. I tend to prefer the wide-field look with the opacity settings as default, but the more into the coming weeks we get I'll start dabbling around with closer-field looks and trying out the opacity slide manually.

So V6 radar is like rain today?

I paid a subscription for rain today (so I could see any potential snow)

I never really know what Netweather offer , any links ?

A couple of new versions of the V6 extra radar have gone live today - the first cleared a few bugs including one which was stopping the animation when new updates came in, the second has added options to resize the radar display and also a remote control.

Very nice thanks for the free radar. I've just played a 2hr loop which shows the cumbrian fells getting quite a lot of rain at the moment.

Just like to say what a brilliant radar this is. Hopefully it will come into it's own in the coming weeks.

I have precipitation type and 850's overlay on and it is great.
