[Lincs Observation]

The nearest to been in Australia at Christmas is today must have been 28oC or so here near Lincoln, but i went into a shop to be faced with Christmas cake, Calendars, Christmas cards and all other manner of Christmas paraphernalia Was weird to say the least!!

Feels much warmer today than it did this time yesterday despite similar temperatures. Perhaps more humid now not sure.

23.6c currently with dew point of 10.6c - neither of which are especially high but it really does feel it!

Another wonderful day and yet again a superb evening, probably one more day making 3 on the trot with temperatures exceeding 27C or so and balmy evenings following.

A repeat of yesterday, but slightly warmer. Dry and sunny all day - maximum 27.2, minimum 12.4. Wind light SE. Still feels like midsummer out there at 15.7 deg C right now. Will be looking closely at tomorrow's maxima to see if the October record is beaten somewhere.

Glorious sunshine all day, turned a bit hazier after 3pm as high cloud moved in from the west.

24.4C max in Cleadon in the end- again I opted to make the most of it by going for a walk, close to the hottest time of day (it was 23.0 when I left the house, 24.3 when I got back). This month was looking set to pale into obscurity but the end-of-September hot spell will probably stick in the memory for quite a while.
