Yes it's alot colder in central areas, 1-2cm looks tp have falling and temps are slowly dropping. The snow isn't even wet.

Currentley -1.9.c, DP -2.6c and rising.

If the band carries on weakening then we may well stay in the cold air, and if we do then the next batch of precipitation could start of as snow.

Temps remain consistent at -1.9c.

Im suprised that your area hasn't done very well today.Im just hoping we get another cold spell in a few weeks time.At least i won't be putting the heating on much in the next few weeks :whistling:

It would seem there is just too much warm air in the mix because of the Easterly component to the winds.

Still, It's good to know that others from our region have done well. I enjoy the radar watching whatever happens to be honest.

yeah it's good to read reports of other members doing well today, and im not disappointed because it was always going to be rain here.My area has been one of the luckiest so far this winter as far as snow depths goes anyway lol.

The front looks to have stalled, a little northwards movement for a time but its current position is where it should stay, unlikely to see any intensification, likely to become light and patchy with the odd heavier bursts.

Been snowing in Sheffield since 8am this morning and is now just light sleety grains but it was really heavy for a time.

The roads were initially very bad and off the main roads still are.

We have about 5cm.

afternoon guys, up most of the night with the little one so only just gotten up now!

We certainly have had some rain here, must have been chucking it down for a good time, still raining a little now. Looked back at the radar and appears Lincs and East Yorkshire got the heaviest part of the band with some really intense echoes.

shame it was all of rain.

good to see reports of lying snow, especially to lower ground, whats the accumulations for you guys at lower ground, 2-5cm?

Would love to see some pictures, with measurements (ruler).

regards

lewis

Low ground seems to be about 2cm but where i am at 200 mts its about 5cm.

Light sleety drizzle has now turned back to light snow here again.

More pics from south east Sheffield. 200mts ASL.

Well I think that is it

4 and 1/2 hours of snow

still snowing but becoming very light

just been out in the car around the White Rose in Leeds and even the main roads are quite slushy

this has been alot better than suggested

I would go for about 5cm or 2" of lying wet snow

bigger flakes mixed in agin now......

We've had 4/5cm here with no rain or sleet untill the very back edge where there was a little drizzle :)

All in all quite pleased with what weve had, just a shame that the heavier stuff was towards the south east of me or it would have got very interesting!
