UK Outlook for Saturday 30 May 2015 to Monday 8 Jun 2015:

The transition from May into June is expected to be unsettled, with spells of rain interspersed by drier, brighter and more showery interludes. It may be rather windy, particularly in the northwest, with the bulk of the rainfall also here. Southern and eastern areas look best placed for the driest, brightest weather. Temperatures are likely to be below average in the northwest, but near average further south and east. Into the first week of June unsettled conditions are considered likely to continue in the northwest, with slightly below average temperatures, but more settled, warmer, conditions may start to dominate in the southeast. Towards the weekend these warmer more settled conditions look likely to spread to most of the country although perhaps with a risk of showers in the south.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 9 Jun 2015 to Tuesday 23 Jun 2015:

There still remains some uncertainty in the likely weather type through this period. There is, however, a signal for higher pressure to become established to the north of the UK until the middle of June. This would lead to drier, warmer conditions for many, these perhaps most prolonged in the north, but it may also allow some more unsettled, perhaps thundery, weather to move up from continental Europe and affect the south of the country. As we head into the third week of June there is a chance that similar conditions may persist with drier than average conditions in the north, however some unsettled spells are also lilkely at times.

UK Outlook for Monday 1 Jun 2015 to Wednesday 10 Jun 2015:

Rather unsettled conditions at first with spells of rain interspersed by drier, brighter and more showery interludes. It may be rather windy, particularly in the northwest, with the bulk of the rainfall also here. Southern and eastern areas look best placed for the driest, brightest weather. Temperatures are likely to be below average across the country, but particularly in the northwest. By midweek, unsettled conditions are considered likely to continue in the northwest, with slightly below average temperatures, but more settled, warmer, conditions may start to build in the south. Towards the end of the week these warmer, more settled conditions look likely to spread north to most of the country although perhaps with a risk of showers in the south.

UK Outlook for Thursday 11 Jun 2015 to Thursday 25 Jun 2015:

There is some uncertainty in the likely weather type through this period, however high pressure will have become established to the north of the UK. This would lead to drier, warmer conditions for many, these perhaps most prolonged across the north, but it may also allow some more unsettled, perhaps thundery weather to move up from continental Europe and affect the south of the UK. This trend looks like it may continue into the third week of June with drier than average conditions in the north, however some unsettled spells are also likely to push in from the west at times, as well some thundery outbreaks also coming up from the south.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 2 Jun 2015 to Thursday 11 Jun 2015:

Rather unsettled and cool conditions across most areas at first, with heavy showers or bands of more persistent rain. Strong winds are also likely, particularly in the south and the northwest. After this, further spells of rain and at times strong winds are expected to affect northern and north-western parts, whilst across the south of the UK conditions become mainly fine and dry. Later in the period, all parts of the UK are set to see some dry weather with periods of sunshine. Temperatures are also likely to recover to become rather warm in the south, with the north also rising to around normal for the time of year. Towards the end of this period, very warm weather may develop in south, albeit accompanied by the threat of heavy showers.

UK Outlook for Friday 12 Jun 2015 to Friday 26 Jun 2015:

High pressure looks to have become established across the north of the UK by the start of this period. This will bring fine and dry conditions to most parts with much warmer conditions than of late across the north. It is also expected to be very warm in the south, although here there is a risk of some heavy and thundery showers spreading up from continental Europe. Confidence in the forecast drops towards the end of June; however, the general trend looks set to remain much the same, meaning drier conditions in the north, some showers possible in the south and warm or very warm temperatures.

Not jumping the gun yet, but this update from May 17th may have been a good call from the met office

UK Outlook for Monday 1 Jun 2015 to Monday 15 Jun 2015:

High pressure looks set to dominate the weather across the United Kingdom through most of the period, so we can expect a good deal of dry, warm and settled weather. Frontal systems may still make inroads from the Atlantic at times, though most of the rain associated with these is likely to affect north-western areas. Temperatures are expected to range from near normal in the north, to just above average in the south.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 3 Jun 2015 to Friday 12 Jun 2015:

Many places should be dry on Wednesday with some sunshine, the best of this in southern and eastern areas. More unsettled conditions, with outbreaks of rain and brisk winds, probably spreading into northern areas later on Wednesday and during Thursday, with the south probably remaining dry, and warmer than we've seen recently. Thereafter it looks as though high pressure will become established over northern parts of the UK, bringing generally dry, fine conditions for most. There is a risk later in the period that the south will see some heavy and thundery showers spreading up from the continent. Temperatures generally warm or very warm in most inland areas. Coastal areas in the east, may well be a little cooler at times with winds off the chilly North Sea.

UK Outlook for Saturday 13 Jun 2015 to Saturday 27 Jun 2015:

High pressure looks as though it will be established across the north of the UK during much of this period. This will bring fine and dry conditions to most parts with warmer conditions than of late across the north, and especially the northwest. It is also expected to be very warm in the south, although here there is a risk of some heavy and thundery showers spreading up from continental Europe. Confidence in the forecast evolution declines towards the end of June; however, the general trend looks set to remain similar, with drier conditions in the north, some showers possible in the south, and generally warm temperatures.

UK Outlook for Friday 5 Jun 2015 to Sunday 14 Jun 2015:

Mostly dry and fine across the UK on Friday, with long periods of sunshine probably much warmer than of late. A few showers are possible, and there is a risk that heavy and thundery showers may develop across southern parts. A similar story into the weekend with very warm conditions developing, with a continuing risk of thunderstorms in the south. Into the second week of June, there is likely to be a fair amount of fine and dry weather especially in the south, but relatively unsettled in the northwest. A brisk wind is possible in the far south around the start of the week. Exact temperatures towards the end of the period are uncertain, but further warm spells are likely.

UK Outlook for Friday 12 Jun 2015 to Sunday 21 Jun 2015:

Through Friday and Saturday large areas look set to be dry with periods of sunshine, the best of these across the north-western half of the UK. Across the south and southeast, thicker cloud is likely with a chance of some heavy and thundery outbreaks of rain. Whilst it will be warm inland by day, and maybe hot in the southeast on Friday, the nights will be rather chilly with rural frosts possible. After this and into the second half of June, conditions are expected to become slowly more unsettled from the northwest with cloudier conditions bringing some rain at times and cool temperatures. Some heavy bursts of rain, with a risk of thunder, may still affect the southeast where the highest temperatures are also likely to be found.

UK Outlook for Monday 22 Jun 2015 to Monday 6 Jul 2015:

A mixed picture is on the cards for late June and into early July. Most places will probably be somewhat unsettled with showers or some longer spells of rain spreading in at times. Interspersed with these will be drier conditions with some periods of sunshine. The best of these drier brighter spells will be in the south where it could be warm at times again. Temperatures elsewhere are likely to be on the cool side for the time of year and it may also be rather windy at times, particularly in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 17 Jun 2015 to Friday 26 Jun 2015:

There will be some dry and fine weather at first, with many south and eastern parts seeing sunny spells and light winds, although it will feel cooler than of late. Generally cloudier, breezier weather is expected in the northwest, however, with a band of rain slowly making some southwards progression and becoming weaker. This band then bringing cloudier, cooler conditions, briefly, to southern parts. Into the weekend predominately settled, dry and fine conditions begin to dominate in southern areas and spread to many other parts of the UK at times. Unsettled conditions, however, are expected to continue in the northwest, with further breezy spells and rain or showers, albeit with drier, brighter interludes. Temperatures warm at times in the southeast but will remain cooler in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Saturday 27 Jun 2015 to Saturday 11 Jul 2015:

Generally settled with plenty of dry and fine weather likely across many southern areas at first, however, cloudier, breezier conditions are expected in the northwest, with showers or longer spells of rain at times. These more unsettled conditions may then spread south to affect other parts of the UK at times. This trend continues into early July, with just a hint of more settled and drier conditions thereafter. Temperatures may be slightly on the cool side for the time of year in the northwest, with the best of any warmer, sunnier conditions likely in the south.

UK Outlook for Thursday 18 Jun 2015 to Saturday 27 Jun 2015:

Rather cloudy to start across northern parts on Thursday as a band of cloud and rain is expected to move south-eastwards across the country, though becoming weaker as it reaches central and southern parts of the UK, largely bringing only cloudier conditions to these parts. High pressure will then start to build from the southwest into the weekend; this will bring predominately settled, dry and fine conditions to southern areas at first, but will then spread to many other parts of the UK at times. However, unsettled conditions are expected to continue in the northwest at times, with further breezy spells and periods of rain or showers, albeit with drier, brighter interludes. Temperatures generally above average in the southeast but will remain cooler in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Friday 19 Jun 2015 to Sunday 28 Jun 2015:

A dry and mostly fine start to southern parts on Friday, but with cloud thickening from the west later bringing outbreaks of rain at times, mainly in northern and central parts. Rather cloudy over the weekend with showers or longer spells of rain in the north and the best of the warmer sunnier spells will be in the south of the country. Similar conditions are likely on Monday. More settled weather will spread to the north from Tuesday leaving predominantly dry and fine conditions for all for a time midweek. However, unsettled weather may return later in the period, mainly in the northwest. Temperatures generally above average in the southeast but will remain cooler in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Monday 22 Jun 2015 to Wednesday 1 Jul 2015:

The start of the week looks to be rather cloudy for many with some showers, or perhaps longer spells of rain possible in the north. The best of the drier, brighter weather continues to be in the south of the country where it should feel relatively warm at times. There is considerable uncertainty regarding weather conditions for the rest of June. It looks likely that there will be areas of cloud and rain crossing the UK, interspersed by brighter, showery interludes. The best of any drier, brighter conditions are expected in the southeast, whereas the northwest looks most likely to be affected by more persistent rain. It may become warm at times, especially in the south, but temperatures will remain around average or just below average in the northwest.

UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Jul 2015 to Thursday 16 Jul 2015:

There continues to be uncertainty in the weather through this period. However, it looks likely that high pressure will build back across the UK at times bringing more generally settled conditions. The more unsettled conditions could also spread south to affect other parts of the UK from time to time. UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Jun 2015 to Friday 3 Jul 2015:

Dry and bright conditions for many on Wednesday, although there is still a risk of slow moving showers, mainly in the north and west later in the day. From Thursday onwards, northern and western parts will tend to be cooler and windier with showers or longer spells of rain at times, whereas southern and most eastern areas are more likely to hold onto warmer, drier weather at times, but even across the southeast intervals of occasional rain and stronger winds seem likely at times. The unsettled spell is likely to continue into early July across much of the country with generally wetter and cooler than average conditions, however confidence continues to remain low for the detail.

UK Outlook for Saturday 4 Jul 2015 to Saturday 18 Jul 2015:

Although there is significant uncertainty during this period, there is a continuing signal for generally unsettled conditions across northern areas of the country during early July, with showers or longer spells of rain at times. Higher pressure is likely to hold on close to southern areas, this will keep more in the way of brighter and drier conditions there, although incursions of the unsettled weather from the north are possible from time to time. Temperatures will probably be slightly on the cool side for the time of year in the west and northwest, perhaps just touching above average at times in the southeast, and staying around normal elsewhere.
