Who believes there could be a chance of at least a heavy shower getting into kent, we could really do with a bit more rain.aggressive.gif

Depends really - I think the further West you are in Kent the better your chance (but that chance IMO is relatively low).

Lightning increased quite a bit across the NE btw

there quite a few strikes on that cell where Kathrine is

You might laugh,

But judging on the radar, as it pivots that stuff over Lincolnshire seems to be heading Northwards (the tail). DARE TO DREAM? lol

I just went outside - feeling humid outside, as though we could get another shower/storm. Dark clouds over Gloucester way, backed up by the radar...

Apart from the heavy rain, its quite still with no wind and feels a bit like there should be a strike anytime now, although gaps in the cloud all around so i doubt anything will happen

Any ideas which way the storms are heading, clouds tell me the winds going NW but not sure the storms are following that pattern

They appear to be yes  and if you look they are lining up into quite a distinct line running NNE - depends on how far East that line will push!

Yeah definitely heading north. Maybe it could hit Hull, pivot round towards Doncaster and finish above Dronfield. Is that too much to ask?  :whistling:

Our night looks to be up here, barring something incredibly unlikely (ie, the above!)

it is defiantly following the NMM chart so im pleased with its accuracy!

edit: can see a clearish slot and see low cloud rising!

Well, for me, the only things missing from todays forecast of heavy showers & thunderstorms was....erm, heavy showers & thunderstorms :whistling:

about 4 hours of moderate rain, and thanks to all that low-level crud, I've missed out on some stunning cloudscapes judging by the photo's posted...I'd happily sell my mum for a thunderstorm now!

just seen some of the best Mammatus clouds in a long while!

Mammatus was bubbling like a saucepan gone crazy on the stove here! When I looked out to my WSW, I knew Boston was gonna get something special. The shelf cloud was extremely impressive, excellent formation.... VERY dark underparts.. when I heard the first rumble, my first thought was 'batten down the hatches!'

Towel well and truly thrown in...again:angry:

Towel squashed flat after being crossly jumped up and down on repeatedly!
