is this the correct forum for Essex people ?

 Must resist, must resist!

I have to admit I though this was a SE event all over, but reading your comments I think we are seeing something in Eastbourne much heavier than others. Lost the cars in our street now - they are just white blobs in a sea of white!

where's my car gone!? :shok:

oh, under gawd knows how much snow!

Here i can see the snow sliding down my car window as we have a slow thaw and the snow isn't constant enough , why is it when we are forecasted to get dumped on we get rubbish but when they forecast the odd shower we get loads

Seems it is still diverting around the east Kent area at the moment, or going over our heads...there has been the odd shower but it;'s so windy they pass over too quick. is the wind supposed to quieten down later?

A shower started about 10 minutes ago. Hopefully we can top up our 1/2cm. Is much more coming here or bypassing as usual?

Brixton reporting snow. Very light snow in Ealing west London. Totally unexpected has this thing shifted west in the last hour or something??!

Finally stopped, over 3 hours of mainly moderate falls. Half an hour ago we had 24cm lying snow. Now to watch that lump slowly moving in from the continent and a few showers which will hit us while we wait. If the Atlantic systems manage to break this spell there is a risk of serious flooding to many places. One way or another the weather could be in the news for a while. Talking of showers, it's started snowing again.

Snowing in Bexleyheath. Seems to be pepping up a bit. The wind has certainly increased, howling down the chimney.

The radar for south east and EA looks identical to the lake effect we get over here around the great lakes. Must be the perfect set up of air temp and sea temp...This could keep going for a while and infact reminds me of the set up in 1987

I would think that you'll get some snow later on this evening. Amounts between 2-5 cm I'd guess. Are you on the Downs or in the city?

Couple of inches in Clacton so far today, total lying (on undisturbed surfaces) now 7" / 18cm which is the most seen here since 1991 (I think)
