Well, unless there is a big change in the current wind direction, those that are seeing the snow right now will remain the same through out the weekend.

Glad to see there's some comvection firing Thanet way now. The streamers seem to be aligning more ENE. Could yet be some decent snow for far east Kent tonight. More interested in tomorrow though!

From the rainttoday map the Dengie peninsular only clipped the very northern edge of the lump. Don't worry too much. If 1987 was anything to go by, when I lived in Tillingham, we were snowed in for a week, with drifts half way up the door and blocking the road to Southminster entirely where it drifted off the fields.

don't think the weekend will be anything like that - that was SEVERE! incredible drifting, the snow didn't fully melt until well into March!

I thought you got that on wednesday... here in Dover we have around a foot of lying snow in some parts of the town from wednesday night... I'm hoping we will double that over the next 2 days!

Yep, champagne if you're in it, tears and tissues if you're out of it. . .

I'm going with tissues and vodka this weekend - lots of both needed for me judging by the pish charts.

only the far northern extent of this shower is likely to reach me, the rest will pass to the south. Still that one over Clacton looks nice tongue.gif

But after that one... nothing?

Yeah looks like nothing after - http://www.meteox.com/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=exp

The Medway towns are:

Strood

Rochester

Chatham

Gillingham

Rainham

Eventually to be 5 towns make a City

Also

I actually live in the Medway Gap, the narrowing of the Valley between Cuxton and Halling, though I extensively use the phrase Medway valley on my weather website as it's more commonly known than "The Gap" ! :help:
