Snowing steadily and fairly heavily, and it's amazing, gna recheck the depth soon, 25cm on last check

Yep, just measured mine. 26cm, 3cm of which was still there from 3rd Jan. So approx 23cm has fallen today. Never known a day like it. I didn't pay too much attention to the snowy winters in the mid/late 80's as I was just a school kid enjoying it lol Snow depth and stats didn't bother me then

Nice pics - looks similar to this side of Wigan. I was a bit worried last night as I was reporting higher temps than you, but all OK in the end. Got a day off work too.

Temp now 0.8c from around 1.4c 90 mins ago.

definately more intense snow here for the last 20 mins

Keep the good news coming mate! :D

The funny thing is that none of the models predicted this band to stall over our region for so long! Most were just sshowing an early morning event!

Chuffed for all who have had a proper pasting today.

Not seen anything but a bit of snizzle.

Seems the front is spinning slightly westwards to avoid South Cheshire. :D

Lol completely understand where you're coming from! It's tried here a couple of times but it's been literally half a dozen grains blowing in the wind. Oh well, maybe next time :D Its days like today I wish I was still living at home, and I wish they'd stop texting me pictures!!

Strange... there's almost a regeneration on it's this snowy band northern flank. Snow has certainly picked up again here. I thought it would be well away by now :)

I didn't try with my car - snow is deeper than my ground clearance :)

Just had a shout from downstairs - my brew is going cold :) I need to get away from this screen.

Wow, what a day. Still snowing & heaviest its been all day really. Im shocked its still going,

but its absolutely pelting it down and some serious drifting in places too. Glad to see so many folks got snow, like in Liverpool & Manchester got a few inches and made headlines, most impresive. Heres a few ive

just taken, hope you enjoy

Similar here. Slight breeze now too - if that picks up conditions could turn a whole lot worse. ohmy.gif
