Embedded Cold, What Does It Mean ?

Recommended Posts

I hear this term come up a fair few times recently .

The assumption by me is, if you have wide spread cold and snow its going to take a lot more energy to melt it and I assume this could have an effect on the first purge from the south west etc ?.

I also assume the embedded cold over say North America or Eurasia would take a lot more to shift and can be responsible for its own synoptic patterns??.
