I seem to recall a front doing something similar to this one, weakening near the south Midlands only to explode back into life near the London region, can't remember when it was but it gave us down here a decent fall.

Looks to me like the energy is plusing up the front itself, so London should get this pluse, then maybe central/eastern areas of Essex may see the development of the next pluse, will be interesting to see what happens regardless!

Serious snow in Norwich. Not a blizzard tho every flake is sticking and cover is increasing at a much higher rate than the last three days

Had just about an hour's worth now — covered up all the footprints so it will look quite beautiful again tomorrow morning, temperature still -1.6 ° C (that's a 5 degree rise from 6pm :winky:).

This w/e is turning into a very memorable one — let's hope we'll be able to say this week has turned into a very memorable one on Boxing Day.

If I remeber right, it was earlier this year (could be wrong), late at night and all of us on the forum got very excited.

I think the Chiltern Hills causes this with uplifting. Seen this happen in the last three years, front moves from N/NW and the ppn suddenly intensifies when it hits the Chilterns.
