OK here is my current snow risk chart going by today's runs :whistling:

I shall update every model that comes out, 00z, 06z, 12z, 18z, UKMO, ECM

You made 1 HUGE mistake - You've included Abingdon (the snow shield) in the 80-90% chance. More like 0.00080%.

West mids is fairly large :) so pin pointing it exactly to Leicester would be hard :).. But i can see Leicester getting snow, the further East you are the better.

Great Yarmouth? or will the salt sea air affect snow?

The current output on the models would have anywhere on the east coast (right on the coast, on the beach in fact) as the precipitation falling as snow :D

Haha I know, was just messing with you. Leicester is East Midlands technically but we are slap bang in between West and East so it's always hard to say whether it's West or East, 95% of the time though people call it East. I call it Central Midlands :D

By 40-50% in Scotland do you mean anywhere in Scotland or just the average Scottish location?

Sorry, more pedantry!!

Sorry for the extra work, I just feel that Scotland is a little too big to be effectively condensed into one region, though I'm sure people in other regions would say the same about their area I reckon Scotland is quite a bit bigger, and more likely to have different snow chances.

E-NE Scotland have a greater chance of seeing snow.

The further NW/W you go the chances become slimmer.

lewis what about stafford? showers usually reach here easily, feb 1-2 2009 was decent

Not a bad location, but not the best. Again if the flow is fairly strong showers will penetrate much further inland across most of the mids (including west midlands).
