Started cloudy but there was the first slight ground frost bottom of the garden/field of the autumn at 3.2c

Chilly mainly sunny day, max of 14C but plummeting now, got down to 2C last night which is impressive for early October, yesterday and today have been the first proper autumnal feeling days with cold dew points, the woods near me are very autumnal with lots of leaves on the ground, lovely time of year with the sun now setting

Cloud filtered in last night so we didn't get our first airfrost just yet but another ground frost down to 1.6°C. That cloud mostly cleared by mid morning and we've had a great day today with lots of sunshine and it still felt reasonable warm in the sun (but with that autumnal nip in the shade). Clear now and getting chilly even saw a thin vale of mist forming in the valley on my bus ride hom, down to 7.9°C atm, much colder than this time last night.
