Surprised this morn. Light covering of snow in north bristol; still snowing very lightly. I presume the snow band moved more south westwards than thought last night.

BBC weather should take a long hard look at itself this morn, after last night's news 24 forecast at 6:58pm last night!

A wee dusting overnight - about 1/2 cm. Hoping for a bit more today from showers if they get this far west.

I was very negative about this last night and it paid off! Woke up to a surprise covering of (this is an estimate) 2-3cm and it has got me the day off, I will come back when I measure it when it's light.

Absolutely nothing here, temperature about 0c. It rained instead or snow. Well I suppose being only 6m asl didn't help. Very jealous of those further south. I'm really gutted!!

Light dusting in Middle Wallop, less than a cm but enough to give a pretty wintery scene

Well after ramping this one up I finally got a light covering (approx 2 cms at home in Eastbourne) and a similar amount throughout the journey into Mid Sussex.

These are from the foothills of the South Downs but there was actually more along the coastal stretch.

Roads are treacherous as it has fallen on frozen surfaces and although I did try to stop for a young lady in a 4x4 Suzuki who had gone through a fence, it would have been more dangerous to try to help than cause a second accident by my precarious position in the road. Traction control meant a slow journey in !!!!

The lightest of dusting's here but a total surprise, didn't expect anything. Still snowing on and off, nothing dramatic, but better than nowt.

Apologies for quality of this.....
