Just 0.2c away for my stab then last time april came at 7.9c was in 1991 and 1971 which is the 61-90 average but 0.2c below the 71-00 average. :D

Not surprised it`s gone lower especially after yesterdays low max temps in places.

I can't complain at being just 0.2C out- especially as the second week went somewhat differently to my prediction.

Looks like 7.9C is it then. It seems there has been a slight downward correction.

So technically a second consecutive below average month, albeit only just. January is starting to look like a little out of place when compared to the rest of the last 12 months.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

:D

Wow Mr.Data thats very impressive nowadays, even in the terms of the longer term I think you could easily say that was a cold day.

Heck there weren't many colder days in recent winters!

Here was a post by Eddie on the 7th of April

To add some context, there have only been 83 April days since 1772 that have been colder out of over 7000. It's in the top 1.2% of cold April days.

That was based on that day being 2.3 Well Hadley have done their quality controls etc, they now have it as 1.7

Ooh even though I was 0.3 degrees out and came in ranking 36th for the month I have still managed to notch iup one place in the top 10 from 7th to 6th for the CET competition so preety pleased about that. My January prediction sticks out like a sore thumb..

I wouldn't say 1.7c is that remarkable considering the wind direction, source of cold and that the cloud and snow persisted through the entire daylight hours in some easter areas.

The month panned out almost exactly as you'd expect it to temperature wise.

Does it matter when the entries come in?

In case of tied entires, the earlier entry get the higher marks.

And for any late entries, a 10pt deduction to the overall score is made for every day late.
