The temperature rose from 0.3 C to 1.6C as the front came in here in Huddersfield. Now been snowing lightly for about half an hour and the temperature has started to drop again. Brilliant!!!

NOT a snow report as such but if you are playing the waiting game, instead of watching a lamp-post (because I cannot see one!) I have angled by halogen desk lap out of the window - makes a very good substitute I think! THhis should be more than bright enough to show up the smallest flakes (fingers crossed now). :D

Last night the mininium was 0.2°C (yes, I can do degrees), by the time I woke up (7.30am) it was already 6.1°C and dropped as the day went on (currently 4.1°C) and yet no snow! Explain that one

If anybody wants to see a snow picture from a few minutes ago, go to my website (click the link below), and on the menu, click "Photographs". Then obviously click on to todays photo.

While you're there, if you have time, sign the guestbook!!

Now 4cm and very heavy snow.

CraigB, its possible that we will pick up snow showers through the night, coming in off the North Sea, to tide us over until this second band of snow arrives in the morning (if it arrives at all)
