06.25 Dog barking going beserk. Obviously an intruder. Go down to back door. Yep! Little yellow kids bucket being blown around in strong vortex. Dog scared and quivering..... :o

Strong winds, drizzle, barometer plummeting. Gonna be some damage today after all that rain...

Keswick The Lake District I would say the strong winds and rain have already past here as much as 6hrs ahead of predications .Current weather is 7 degrees dry with very little wiind.

Wonderful squall here at moment, after a night of hammering gales, the temps down to 2.5oC, with thunder, lightening, driving hail......so it begins! yippeeee :o

Heavy rain before translated into ice pellets and sleet, if has been going any longer it would be have perhaps turned to snow, it was that heavy, also had some thunder in there too.

Clear periods during the early hours lead to a cool end to the night with a touch of ground frost, minimum air temperature 1.9c, and grass minimum -1.0c. The morning and after was mostly bright and breezy. After a cool start the temperature climbed to around the average by the afternoon. The 24 hour period ended on a stormy note. B) Been Very stormy here on Emley Moor rain has now cleared and beggining to brighten up,wind has died down Temp 4.8c but dropped to 3.2 in the heavy rain !

Had heavy rain/hail blow through at approx 6.30am highest gust reported 51mph.

At present gusts have eased. Dense grey clouds passing over.

Gusting to 61 mph at 9 am in heavy rain squall.

( It would be dustbin emptying day ! )

I'm hearing of a tree down at my village roundabout.

A SW gale during the early hours of this morning, accompanied by light-moderate rain. Shortly before 0900 the rain became heavy and then turned to hail which was heavy enough to whiten the ground by 0900, ground still white with hail at 0920 but the rain by then was light.

Patches of blue sky now appearing and the wind has decreased to a mean speed of 30 mph and veered W.
