Woke at around 5.30am to some rumbles in the distance and then a bright flash and a much louder rumble then all quiet until another rumble at about 6.30am! Been raining since well before the thunder.

04.30-05.30 frequent lightning but high up, gentle thunder so obviously elevated storms. As I type another storm brewing. Absolutely tipping down!
