The reverb makes my voice sound even deeper than I thought it was  Anyway, I still think those were straight line winds... 100mph+ straight line winds of course... If you remember the damage to the grain bins in Claflin we saw where the main road through town was sealed off due to the previous days storms, NWS deduced that was non tornadic damage caused by 100mph+ RFD winds. :o The tornado associated with that cell lifted 2.5 miles before town, but the damage was crazy still. In hindsight, it makes me glad we weren't driving around in the Greensburg cell's RFD playing catch up.

Nice to see that anvil crawler bolt from the the dash-cam also. Paul's reaction to that was EPIC! :D

Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.
