We have had very heavy hail showers all morning, the most recent shower is turning to snow and appears to be settling, fingers crossed it will keep on going.

some showers of rain and hail recently. Seem to be turning more to rain as the wind direction swings more northwest. Judging by the fact the the showers passing through are occassional at best and not really heavy, rain and hail should be the order of the day until the wind turns north when of course they *should* die out although it all depends on what happens in the next few hours regaring the trough in the north.

Steady stream of showers, some more prolonged, mixture of soft hail and snow. Not really accumulating though apart from in corners/under hedges/walls.

A real wintry mix here! Last shower was prolonged, and was really trying to settle. And yes! Today I have seen the closest thing to a blizzard I have ever experinced in Newark. Shower went extemely heavy, and wind speeds must have doubled! Visibility was down to maybe 20 meters at most.

Torrential squalls of large hail during the showers, No snow, but the hail is covering the grass and pavements.

Snow showers on and off, with lovely spells of sun in between. Very strong and biting wind though  which spoils the sunshine somewhat

Brief squally sleet/snow shower observed whilst eating Dim Sum at 1pm in Elephant and Castle (the armpit of south London). As TEITS predicted yesterday the main interest for many will be the wonderfully clear skies and varied fast moving cloud formations rather than "near blizzards" of snow that "nearly settled" [sic].

Regards

Just had a heavy snow shower - lasted about 15 mins with strong winds. Hasn't settled at all though.
