had a heavy hail shower about 1hr ago - seemed a bit sleety and now a lot colder outside. i think it will become a lot colder than the bbc are predicting!

Heavy hail, sleet AND snow shower hear in cambridgeshire last night at about 10:45pm.

Very heavy indeed, lasted about 10 mins...

Had a mixture of everything last night in the form of showers; rain, sleet, hail, snow and some thunder too.

Mountains have a slight snowcover, cars have a little but of slush on them! Everything else is soaking wet.

Snow has settled more in the east of the town than in the west (what a coincidence!). Town centre has a slight covering but rain/sleet washing it away now.

finally i get to post a message on this part of the forum!

not long ago the temperature was around 7 degrees in haywards heath. however, we have had two heavy rain showers, swiftly followed by a brief but heavy hail shower. the temperature has now dropped to around 5.5.
