Please continue to discuss the latest model output here. Please stay on topic..

You can view the latest GFS, ENS, ECM, UKMO, Fax and others from the datacentre:

Apologies for the server problems we're having tonight - we're experiencing extremely high volumes of traffic but are working to steady things.

re server problems - no probs - thanks for the update.

in future though - any way to balance off the "free forums" against the paid content (ie Radar)

would be preferable for the limited bandwidth left to go to that paid for vs that for free - if you know what I mean ?

cheers, Mark.

Precipitation seems more heavier for Eastern areas on the 18z run?

Getting some very odd error when trying to view the site. ( IPS Drive Error ) - Database error. Either the site is pverloaded bigtime or the mysql database has gotten a bug :drinks:

Anyway, heres hoping for another upgrade :drinks:

Am I the only one to look at the radar with that sinking feeling?

I hope not!

Well the models have predicted all kinds of scenarios the past couple of days, except the NW server crash, came at the perfect time :drinks:

Has there been a single post referring to the 18z output yet?

There is now.

Track very similar to the 12z, there may be some leading edge snow for some Saturday I'd say and the remainder of the run show sthe cold in a losing battle to the Atlantic, our old friend the PV back home over GL. Not a great long term run..

I think it is quite fun that the board keeps going down and everyone keeps running over to Two! This run is freezing on my computer now! But before it did I didn't see the PV locate itself back over Greenland must have missed it. I think the key to any run at the moment is what happens on saturday. Anything past saturday is far too far into the future right now.

first of all I can't get on at all then it puts my post on twice!

I think Mr 18z got a bit drunk, nobody's talking about him so it must have been awful :)

Well actually i think the 18z was no good, because it didn't look cold at all from tomorrow. I pray that it can't be right :(

Rather uninspiring 00z GFS and ECM runs - PV migrating West to be over Greenland and the UK in predominately SW'erly flow with low pressure close to the NW. Can see a rebound upwards in the CET from it's below average figure atm with the current outlook. UKMo at t144 looks less progressive with the Atlantic and has a ridge over Scandi at least.

Maybe a sign of height rises North on the t240 ECM which could lead to a Scandi high - but way off atm:

Ensembles are poor for the medium term length , i know some on here are saying it depends what happens over the next couple of days but surely this would of been picked up by the GFS & shown as a bit more sactter ? All Can change though as we have seen with this cold snap & the previous snap as they both appeared at quite short notice .
