Can anyone tell me what happened to weather.com's website? I used to check it daily and look over the video forecasts for the US, but ever since last Autumn when I log on to the website it automatically sends me to a UK version, which frankly - is crap in comparison. I presume the rights have taken it away? What does everyone else use to read charts? Look at live dopplers? See forecasts? Videos etc.

If winds were stronger, NYCs Central Park would qualify as official blizzard conditions over last 3hrs (w/ 1/4mi vis)

http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KNYC.html

Have to be a lot stronger at 4-10mph is just a light breeze

Warnings of a possible ice storm here or heavy snow, could possibly take some power lines down or trees if we get the freezing rain.

At present just snow here no freezing rain, current temp-2 but feels like -7 according to my weather software.

Edit...wow ICE here.....road as gone into a sheet of ice under 5mins with moderate snow....

Never seen freezing rain like thisbefore

OK,,slightly concerned about power lines

Weather in Mid West, Central and Eastern Canada has been truly astonishing for snow and cold this winter and am very envious of all that snow. Have been to Toronto a couple of times in winter and was lucky enough to experience a bit of snow and temps of about -10 but this winter will look to be one of coldest winters I think for 20 years or so. And with the PV holding the roost it looks like most, if not all of February will continue to remain cold/very cold in these areas.Even Western Canada which has been relatively mild compared to average in January looks like getting colder which will be good news for the ski resorts in BC and Alberta.

Don't know about getting colder in Alberta as it has been very cold here for last week or so now so won't get any colder than we have right now... Highs between -20c to -25c and lows into the -30c

Getting fed up with the cold now - remember me why I live in a place that hurts my face?

After such a warm January winter hasdef returned. I think we have hit, or been close to hitting -30oC every night this week and havent got above -20oC.

Bring on England in 5 weeks for a nice 'warm' holiday - though I bet it bloody snows when I'm there.

I know the other night people lost power due to the ice storm, brought down power cables and trucks stranded on the highway due to freezing rain, made the roads look like sheets of glass.

Very impressed how the public services immediately work through the night here clearing roads.

-10...feels like -16..

Not as cold as Canadian coops...but yes....wish it was spring

Looks like it will finally warm up again after two weeks of cold cold weather...have been stuck with highs of -20c and lows of -30c for a while but above 0c temps could be back on Wednesday.

Coming Winter Storm Will Basically Make the South Like The Walking Dead

In what could easily be confused for the opening lines of a new Stephen King book, the National Weather Service has quickly ratcheted up the language being used to describe the imminent ice-pocalypse descending on the Deep South.
