In summary in Canterbury it snowed pretty much constantly from 2PM to 9PM. It was largely light snow but did leave accumulations in the garden perhaps 3-4mm at most. Eventually it did start to settle on roads and paths just enough to turn the roads and paths into a skating rink.

Any ppt overnight was extremely light and now the skies are clear

Hi,

No snow here in Cheltenham - we did have some sleety rain last night, but I am hearing reports of snow in St Helier, Jersey spreading in off the Normandy coast and settling! What do you think are the chances of this snow clipping Southern England later today?

Cu,

James.

very unlikely,if there is anywhere that may get a flurry it will be southwest england, but i dont think it will cross the channel.

Drove from Canterbury, Kent to Basildon, Essex yesterday evening and there was continuous snowfall on 90% of the journey. It was very heavy for a while at top of Bluebell Hill on the M2 with the snow settling on all lanes.

Some very nice picturesque fields.

Very little snow was laying in Essex though.

About 1cm settled last night from the snowfall that affected the south-east, was welcome and a good 1hr of light-moderate snowfall.

Some very light snow early tomorrow morning. Melted quickly, and didn't disrupt my journey to work.
