Blizzard conditions in Walsall according to my mate so you might get loads more as Walsall not far away from Birmingham

Walsall is to the west of us though, and the weather is coming from the east. We've had some nice snowfall here, it's just been too wet on the ground. I wish we had time to go to the clent hills today, but we don't :-(

Snowfall on the South Downs. I drove there this morning (but i didnt have my cam), I will return with pictures. There has been only wet snow here, so its time to run to the hills!

Light snow at home in Walsall from about 12pm. Snow heavier from approximately 1220pm onwards. About 1cm on the car when I left for work at 1250pm.

Here in Birmingham it has been snowing on and off since I arrived here at 1320. Currently snowing lightly at 1425.

TM,

HNY.

Doesn't the "not particularly heavy" go without saying nowadays?

Too true, Stratos. I'd have to look back through my records to find the last occasion when there was sustained heavy snow, I certainly can't remember it.

Very light snow continues to fall here and above 300m the ground is white with a thin covering which I will measure, if it still exists, when I go out to do the observations at 1800. It certainly isn't more than 1cm, other than by the horizontal measuring method.

snowing here :D (just north of Hereford). Not sticking yet, but it's only been about 10 minutes, it's probably too wet to stick anyway, still here's hoping :D

Well i can take heart from reading through here that alot of people have had snow but it has'nt stuck so im not the only one thats had this . Abit of drizzle early this morning which turned to sleet and then full on snow from 11:00am to 1:30pm heavy at times and just when it started to thin out it pept up again ocastionally. Not bad shame it did'nt stick.
