Snow has been falling since 8Pm last night and here it left 10cm/4" so far. Still snowing too.

Day off work as I cant get upto other side of sheffield as roads are blocked up there.

They had 10cm lying yesterday and have had 15cm overnight, thats a whopping 25cm/10"!!!!!

Syston - 3 miles north of Leicester. Snizzle all night, wet snow on grass & cars, nothing on roads. Sky looking like it's brightening at the moment, extremely fine rain/sleet now, hardly anything - more like mist really! What a letdown... ;)

Well, what a disappointment.

Its been snowing for twelve hours non stop.......and we've recieved a further 3cm's of wet, wet snow. The problem has been the temperature a degree to high, and the precipitation not heavy enough.

Driving round town this morning its hard to tell the difference between yesterday evening after the day's slight thaw and now, paths and roads that had been trampled on and melted substantially haven't really re-accumulated anything substantial at all.

Undisturbed snow cover has increased by just 1cm overnight (off 12 hours light snow), out of 3cm that has fell, suggesting an ongoing thaw perhaps.

Measurements of undisturbed snow from PT's garden give an average snow depth of 16cm.

Give me heavy overnight 15 minute showers anyday.............

Prolonged snow?............pfffft!

Very dissapointing overnight here in Milton Keynes, from 9PM last night we had nothing but frozen drizzle, which left 2cm of slushy muck on the grass. The last 10Mins have seen the PPN pick up quite a bit though and some proper snow beginning to fall, not sticking to pavements or roads as they are 2 wet but lying on the grass and tree's ect... Hopefully the heavier PPN in the north is going to move south during the day??? ;)

Been snowing heavily for about 3 hours. Only now is it just starting to settle. Maybe got a cm or two. Please let this snow continue - then we might actually get a decent covering. Sod's law, it'll stop soon and melt away yet again.

Just started to snow here in North-West London. It is quite light at the moment, but not settling as the ground is too wet. If anything the snow is rather wet....not expecting anything to settle today so at least i have seen some snow...this cold spell has been a big let down...oh well maybe next year..
