We had a good covering overnight, snow is less heavy now but the flakes are really big.

Woke up in Deepcut to about 2 inches on everything but roads and paths. Absolutely the prettiest morning in years.

Now at work in Uxbridge, and looking out of the window, you'd wouldn't know it had snowed. All the snow that had settled here is now gone, and the roads are dry.

Snow showers penetrated to my area overnight, and are continuing to do so- we have sunny spells and snow flurries in Lancaster.

The radar and snow cover patterns confirm that the bulk of the shower activity was to my south. There was about a one-third cover of snow on the north end of Lancaster University campus, but approaching two-thirds cover at the south end. Meanwhile, apparently nothing settled towards Lancaster City itself, while less than 10 miles to the south there was a full covering.

Strange world, eh? Well the showers are getting over here, and that's what matters. :)

Had another shower at around 08:15-08:30, but nothing laid from it.. slow thaw with the sun out, but showers and clouds now starting to roll in again thankfully.

following the snow yesterday at about 5pm. After there were numerous more seperate snow showers (how many I really don't know there must have been quite a few) right through the night leaving about 2cm at 8 this morning. Since then there have been more snow showers including a large blob on the radar which is passing at the moment.

A few centimeters of snow settled overnight here, a lot of that has melted away now.

There has been a myriad of snow showers passing through this morning, though the ground is too damp for it to stick.

The falling snow itself does not seem damp however, more like the dry continental variety.

Not sure I'd term it "good", though it's certainly settled right down into the valley this time, but then I remember a time when you needed to sell 1m records to get a gold disc as well! Flakes were rather big for a time this morning, as they were last night, but then we've had fine grains and graupel as well, and a few ice pellets. It's all quite dry, though there is a slow thaw. Temps around freezing though.

Certainly 1.5-2cm level here on the hills in Stratosdale, and it's been snowing gently all morning. One intense spell of graupel, up to about 10 on Stratos's intensity scale, otherwise just light but continuous flurries.

Weird in Wiltshire.

Woke to flurrying snow and a dusting on grass, rooves and cars B) .

It got heavy around 0900 leading to me being hopeful of something good, only for the sun to shine at the same time and melt everything

Nothing lieing even on the hills!
